Atlantic Station Oct 2008
What a nice day! It was in the low 80s and a light breeze. Atlantic Station is an interesting place. Located in a mixed-use development on the North side of the Georgia Tech campus, it is made up of condos, resturants, and stores. The morning was the best time for me. There was an older crowd and a lot of out of town visitors. I made sales also to a couple from Canada. In the afternoon and on into the evening, the young hip crowd came out and I didn’t sell anything.
Avondale Autumn Fest Oct 2008
This was a great show. Avondale Estates is a real neat community of homes built in the 30s and 40s. It’s a neighborhood, not a subdivision, that is a couple miles East of Atlanta. The promoters were wonderful and provided coffee and donuts each morning in the exhibitors booth. Friday setup was miserable. It was raining pretty hard, but I had a three piece rainsuite, so I stayed dry. Both days started off a little on the cool side, but was sunny and got up into the low 70s with a slight breeze. There was a lot of traffic by homeowners walking their dogs through the park next to the lake where we were set up. I had very good sales and a wonderful, low stress weekend. This show is definately a keeper.
