Who We Are

I own a business that sells and installs custom closets, home offices, and a variety of casework projects in both residential and commercial environments. When business decreased as a result of the economy, I found myself with a lot of spare time on my hands. Business is still good enough to survive on, but I may have weeks of down time that I never had before. During this downtime, I started building woodcrafts to pass the time.

I do most of the cooking at home, so in 2007 I built an end grain board for my personal use.  At my wife’s insistence, I made some to give away to family and friends.  From these first cutting boards, demand started growing and I decided to build more cutting boards along with other useful home items that I would personally use, such as my unique dipping boards.

DGM Woodworks is dedicated to craft shows.  My products are available for purchase via online from Etsy.  My online store normally has other items I make that I don’t necessarily take to shows because of lack of table space.

My products are sold all over the country and at select art and craft shows.  My shop is in Georgia, but my heart is in East Tennessee, were I grew up, thus, my Appalachian roots.  My primary interest is in using domestic and exotic woods to make products that customers will view as both functional and unique.  I like paring high contrasting woods for the “pop” factor.

Thanks for visiting my site and feel free to email me if you have any questions at dennis@dgmwoodworks.com.    Regards, Dennis.
