When I was working as a maintenance Manager with the Postal Service (retiring in 2001) I came across an old drug store that had been closed for about 40 - 50 years it was also the local Post Office as many did in the early to Mid 1900s. There were in tact fully assembled walls with PO boxed much like you have shown above only slightly different. Back in the day Postmasters were a political appointment and often went to the neighborhood or area druggist, probably because of there location and everyone knew the druggist. As far as I know they are still there along with everything else still in tact just outside Shenandoah Junction WV, which is the oldest train depot in the US.

Looks good Dennis.

I've noticed The Food Network is using alot of walnut boards.

How big are those? What size is most popular?

I might have to make a couple.

I buy them from a company on Ebay. They are made in USA, so it fits with my mindset. The square ones are fine. The one in the picture is a 9" and I use it on the 16" lazy susans. I use the square 4" bearings on the 12" ones. All the 9" and up are generally round with 6" and below being square.

I couldn’t agree more.

Where do you get your bearings?

I made three of these but used the square ones.

Is round the way to go?

Love that maple!

I need to try these soon.

Those wine bottle holders look like a good project to try on my new drill press.

I am not familiar with the sanding mops. The Grizzly flap sander just made sense to me when I first saw it.

I read your review of the G8749 Grizzley flap sander on Lumberjocks. I am looking for a better and easier way to sand round-overs on cutting boards. I am considering the Grizzley flap sander or a Klingspor sanding mop mounted to a drill press. Do you have any experience with the sanding mops and if so why did you go with the flap sander instead of the less expensive mops?

Thanks for your help.

I use General Finishes Arm-A-Seal which is an oil-based finish. I prefer to wipe my finish on rather than brush it and the GF is good for that type of application. It flows out smooth and drys quickly.

Congratulations on your board sale.
