Face grain boards are made with the face of the board strips facing up, as opposed to turning the end grain up. It’s a one step process to make a face grain board and consequently less time consuming to complete a finished board. Unlike the end grain boards, these have no rubber feet making them double sided. They can be used as a cutting board on one side, and used for serving on the other. These are some of my most popular face grain boards.
